Some Really Cool Architecture in Singapore I Saw on Google Earth

Have you ever done any traveling? I have always wanted to go see some of the interesting places I have found on the Internet. When I was a child, we only had printed and bound encyclopedias to explore the world. To me, they were the fuel for imagination to explore everything from people to places and even the sciences. People used to sell the encyclopedias door to door. I remember our first set. Now, the Internet is a gateway to see the world. I was looking at Singapore on Google Earth. In particular, I was looking at the New Futura condo project. I saw a website advertising it online, and I thought the buildings looked cool.

The street view is an older image showing the buildings under construction. The outer design is really neat. It has a really cool Oriental look to the towers that make them look like lanterns. The designers say the towers look like illuminated lanterns at night. I could not see that as there were no pictures of that online yet. One thing that struck me was the building levels that are set aside to be natural spaces that have soaring heights to the ceilings. They were built tall enough to hold fully grown trees. The floor design is made to have planted grass. When you cannot make a relaxing park for your residents on the grounds surrounding your building in an urban environment, why not just build them into the building itself? Both towers have spaces like this.

I think that if I had to live in an apartment or condo, this is the type of building I would want to live in. I have never seen anything like this over here. This makes it even more special to be exploring how other people live, work and play. One day I hope to be able to visit Singapore to see these neat buildings in person.
